Groups range from a handful of people to several thousand, and the centre has its own restaurant too. Every event produces pictures: artists on stage, full halls, table layouts, exhibitors, partners and sponsors. Add portraits, brand material and the restaurant, and the collection grows with every season. AKKC uses Kontainer DAM as its central image bank, with the focus on two things: finding the right file quickly, and sharing it with the right people. ![](https://kontainersite.chost.cloud/content/2026/11/AKKC_square-1024x1024.webp?v=1793960961) Every concert, conference and trade show leaves us with thousands of photos. In Kontainer they are easy to find and simple to share, so colleagues and partners get exactly what they need. ![Anna Højen](https://kontainersite.chost.cloud/content/2026/11/Anna_akkc_square-150x150.webp?v=1793960756) Anna Højen CPO, Aalborg Kongres & Kultur Center ![Anna Højen](https://kontainersite.chost.cloud/content/2026/11/AKKC_samlet_RGB-320x93.webp?v=1793960818) ![](https://kontainersite.chost.cloud/content/2026/11/Congress_akkc-1200x1200.webp?v=1793961825) The Challenge ## A Busy Calendar Makes a Big Archive AKKC runs a packed calendar of concerts, comedy nights, conferences and trade fairs. Each event is photographed, and the pictures are needed again by sales, marketing, press and partners. Without one shared home for the files, the right picture is hard to find and large batches are awkward to share. Different people also need different access: some colleagues work with everything, while partners and sponsors should only see what is meant for them. AKKC needed an image bank built around its events, with a simple way to open it up to the right people. The Solution ## A Folder for Every Event, Tags for Everything Else In Kontainer DAM, AKKC sorts its files by theme: culture, trade fairs, meetings and conferences, portraits, restaurant, sponsors, the brand guide and brand films. Within them, almost every event has a folder of its own, from big trade fairs to concerts, receptions and conferences. Each file is tagged with the event, the location and the table layout, along with who is in the picture, the rights, the photographer and whether it is a press photo. That lets sales and marketing search the way they think, for instance for a gala set-up in a particular hall, instead of browsing folder after folder. Smart folders and collections gather files automatically or by hand, for example across several events. Colleagues, administrators and shared users each get access that fits their role, so partners and sponsors can reach the material meant for them without seeing the rest. Download templates for Instagram, LinkedIn and other formats let the team take a photo straight to social media at the right size, and the brand material has its own home with logos, fonts and Office templates. ![](https://kontainersite.chost.cloud/content/2026/11/Event_akkc_square-1200x1200.webp?v=1793960962) Key Kontainer Features Used by AKKC ![Kontainer - Integrations](https://kontainersite.chost.cloud/content/2019/08/Kontainer-Digital-Asset-Management-Integrations.svg?v=1787315804) Smart Folders Save time with auto-maintained Smart Folders that display files based on predefined tagging criterias. ![Kontainer - Collections](https://kontainersite.chost.cloud/content/2019/08/Kontainer-Digital-Asset-Management-Collections-Management.svg?v=1787222148) Album management Avoid duplicates when using album folders, where the same file can be in multiple folders without being duplicate ![Icon image](https://kontainersite.chost.cloud/content/2023/07/images-thin.svg?v=1688729826) Store all media formats Images, videos, PDF, Excel and Word Files, catalogs, approvals, size guides and much more. ![Advanced Media Search](https://kontainersite.chost.cloud/content/2020/02/advanced-media-search-icon.svg?v=1623237208) Advanced Media Search The advanced search function searches all metadata and can be customized. ![Kontainer - Download sets](https://kontainersite.chost.cloud/content/2019/08/Kontainer-Digital-Asset-Management-Marketing-Download-Sets.svg?v=1623306045) Crop & Conversion Tool Create download templates so that the files are automatically converted in size, crop, file format, naming, color, etc. ![Kontainer - User Permissions](https://kontainersite.chost.cloud/content/2019/08/Kontainer-Digital-Asset-Management-Advanced-User-Permissions.svg?v=1623238215) User Management Create and set permissions on user or group level with our User Management. Sales and marketing can look for a specific set-up or atmosphere on their own, whether it is for a customer meeting or a post on social media. Sharing stays under control: material can be opened up to partners, sponsors and others, while the rest stays within AKKC. Large batches are no problem. Most updates to file information are made in bulk, and five people uploaded more than 1,300 files over the last three months. The collection keeps pace with the calendar. It now holds around 14,700 files, around 8,800 of them added in 2026, and face recognition has already found about 33,000 faces across more than 10,000 files.
